The Future of Twitter
Twitter is a website that allows you to send and read messages, known as “tweets”. It’s a social media platform that has millions of users worldwide. Twitter has been growing in popularity for years now, but with the release of its next generation version (called “Twitter Premium”) there could be more changes than ever before.
Named tier is called “Twitter Premium”
You will be able to pay $2.99 per month for a premium tier, which will allow you access to all of Twitter’s features and content. This includes the ability to write tweets, direct message other users, view their timeline and follow them back. You can also upgrade your account to one day free when they launch in 2020 (you get one free day per week).
If that sounds like too much money for something that basically is just text on a screen then don’t worry: there’s a lite version available too! The Lite version has all the same benefits as Premium but without ads or any other bells and whistles like background updates or notifications about new tweets being posted by celebrities/celebrity accounts etcetera.
Twitter staff have been working on the new version of the service for over a year
Twitter staff have been working on the new version of the service for over a year. The redesign is a complete overhaul, with new features being added to help you get more out of your Twitter experience.
The new version will be available on mobile and desktop as well as apps, so you can use it wherever you are!
Twitter base price will be $2.99/month
Twitter’s base price will be $2.99 per month, which is the same as LinkedIn’s paid tier and a steal compared to Facebook’s $9.99 per month (if you don’t count the fact that Facebook is free for users under 13 years old).
The company has been testing this pricing model in Australia and New Zealand since April 2019, but it will be rolled out globally from today onwards.
You can pay $1.99 for the “lite” version, which is ad-supported
The lite version of Twitter is a free trial for the paid tier. You can upgrade to the paid tier at any time and it’s available to all users, not just new ones. If you have an account on Twitter with no tweets or followers, then your new account will be created in the Lite version too!
The real question here is: who would be willing to pay $1.99 per month if they aren’t expecting anything special out of their experience? Well… Elon Musk is one person who might be willing because he already uses Twitter everyday (as well as other social media platforms like Facebook).
New version will have a fresh UI/UX but with a classic Twitter blue theme
In order to make it easier to use and more visually appealing, the new version will have a different look. It’s going to be blue!
New version allows you to edit tweets within 5 minutes of posting them
A new version of the app allows you to edit tweets within 5 minutes of posting them. You can also delete them after five minutes, but not before that. This means that Elon Musk will be able to make changes and see how they work out before he sends his first tweet!
If you’re a Twitter user who loves changing things around with minimal effort, this may be right up your alley—but if you’re like most people who just want their friends’ thoughts on something in 140 characters or less (or don’t really care), then maybe try joining another social network instead?
You can see who has viewed your tweets in real-time (similar to LinkedIn)
If you’re on Twitter, there’s a good chance that Elon Musk is following you. If he isn’t, it might be worth checking his profile and seeing if he has any interesting tweets in the past few days.
You can also view who has viewed your tweets in real-time (similar to LinkedIn).
Every user will get 1500 likes per month as part of their paid tier. Users can purchase additional likes from within the UI.
You’ll have the ability to see who has viewed your tweets in real-time, which is actually pretty cool. They’ve also added a new version of Twitter that allows you to edit tweets within 5 minutes of posting them (which is awesome).
This is just the beginning of what’s coming for Elon Musk’s vision for Twitter—and we’re excited!
We are moving toward a more privacy-focused service in general.
By the way, we’re moving toward a more privacy-focused service in general. We want to make sure that users can continue to express themselves creatively and privately while still having access to the things they love most: people.
We’ve seen this shift in other platforms like Facebook and Instagram where they’ve started charging for premium features or even requiring people pay per post or take down their content if it violates their terms of service (which is pretty crazy!). This could mean that there will be one tier of Twitter Premium with additional features such as having your own profile picture or being able to buy likes on other peoples’ posts without having those posts automatically disappear after 24 hours like they do now (this would probably happen immediately after purchase).
Conclusion
We’re excited to see what the next version of Twitter will look like. It’s refreshing to have a company that wants to improve the way we use the technology that it provides and make it easy for people with different needs. It’s also nice seeing them focus on privacy as well which is important for many users who don’t want their personal data out there for anyone to see
